Writing & composition (Part 2): word/sentence spacing & paragraph formatting/書き、作文：語、文書間・節のフォーマット

Hello!

On this page, I will show you correct spacing with words (正しい語間) and correct formatting of your paragraphs (節の フォーマットしている). 

Word & sentence spacing/語間、文書間
Make sure you have the correct spacing between words and sentences:

例えば：
My life atthis university is goodand I have mademany friends here.The classes are hard, but sofar I enjoy this school. 
               v                                 v                    v                      v                               v  
My life at this university is good and I have made many friends here. The classes are hard, but so far I enjoy this school. (Look at the spaces between the words and the sentences with the v !)    

Paragraph formatting/節のフォーマットしている  
To make your writing clear, organized, and easy to read, good paragraph formatting is important.  Here is an example of good paragraph formatting: 

例えば：

すべて左揃え

Hiroshi Daitobunka   名前

Writing English IB  講習名

January 20, 2015  日付

 一つダブルスペース

Title of your paper

すべて左揃え　　　　　　　　        一つダブルスペース

I want your first paragraph to look like this. It should have clear formatting and be written in Times New Roman, 12-point size. I want your first paragraph to look like this. It should have clear formatting and be written in Times New Roman, 12-point size. You should also double space after the end of the first paragraph and then begin your second paragraph.

I want your second paragraph to look like this. It should also have clear formatting and be written in Times New Roman, 12-point size. I want your second paragraph to look like this. If you have a third paragraph, it should also look the same as your first and second paragraphs, and be written in Times New Roman, 12-point size.

Exercise/例題

Now on a Word document, copy and paste (コピーと貼付ける) this paragraph and correct ( 直す) it.
